Railway Platform Construction - July 2002

Views of the new platform being constructed near the front gate of the State Mine site. The builder is local engineer, Graham Vought (main figure in image on right) and the construction is part of the Centenary of Federation project.These images were taken just after the concrete deck for the platform had been laid.This platform will form part of the tourist rail service, with platforms planned for Blast Furnace Park and the Eskbank Goods-shed.
